War in Ukraine
On 24 February 2022, Russian troops started invading and bombarding Ukraine. This caused a wave of displacement in Europe, with millions of persons internally displaced in Ukraine and many others fleeing neighbouring countries.
Caritas in Ukraine is providing support and helping people in need, while Caritas organisations in neighbouring countries are welcoming people fleeing the country.

Young Caritas Europa is a movement within the European Caritas network aimed at increasing youth engagement in member organisations and giving young people ownership of their involvement.
The Young Caritas Europa movement is as diverse as is the Caritas Europa network. It varies according to local needs, but always within the larger national and global contexts.
